Tom Bartlett is Professor of Functional and Applied Linguistics at the University of Glasgow. He specialises in Systemic Functional Linguistics and Discourse Analysis with a particular focus on discourses of sustainability. He organised the 2022 conference Communicating Sustainability and has written widely on the subject, as well as on theoretical linguistics and descriptions of Scottish Gaelic Grammar.
Piotr Węgorowski is a lecturer in Applied Linguistics at the University of Glasgow. His main research interests include professional and institutional discourse, particularly in legal settings and in policing.
Angela Gayton is a lecturer in Applied Linguistics and Education at the University of Glasgow. Her main research interests include attitudes and motivation for language learning in Anglophone settings; multilingual identity; and issues of student experience in higher education. A recent research collaboration explored how multilingual identity can be incorporated into language learning materials, to foster enhanced L2 motivation.
Domenico Di Rosa is a doctoral researcher in Scottish Literature at the University of Glasgow. His main research concerns representations of queerness and queer love in 20th and 21st century Scottish Literature, including queer theory, women’s writing, intersectionality, and fantasy literature.
